Scholarship Opportunities
Board of Directors Scholarship
Apply now for a $1000 NDCPAS Board of Directors scholarship.
To apply, applicants are to:
- Be a student or exam candidate member of the NDCPAS (click here to join)
- Intend to write the CPA Exam and become a CPA
- Have completed Intermediate Accounting I, by application time
- Complete an online application by Dec. 31.
Applicants are to provide a narrative about why they are pursuing the CPA credential (less than 150 words). Applicants should apply online, and they are to have completed Intermediate Accounting by application time. Click here to apply!
In the past, an award was presented under the name of Roy Janz, one of the State‘s first CPAs, with certificate number 18, granted in 1925. Mr. Janz served as President of the CPA Society from 1948 to 1949. In recent years, the award has become the Board of Directors Scholarship, and been expanded to 5 yearly awards. The CPA Society has about 1700 members, and provides various services to the CPA profession.
NDCPAS Foundation Awards
The CPA Society Foundation is an affiliate of the CPA Society that awards scholarships to accounting students. The Foundation's main revenue sources are direct contributions, and a fundraising events during the annual CPA Convention and Management Conference. Other Scholarships -- AICPA
AICPA offers many scholarship opportunities for accounting students at varying points in their academic careers. Additionally, we encourage students to contact their state CPA societies and college/university financial aid offices for other potential sources of financial assistance. AICPA Minority Accounting Students Scholarship
The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. For over four decades, this program has provided over $14.6 million in scholarships to approximately 8,000 accounting scholars. Recipients receive individual awards of up to $5,000 per academic year.
