Position Summary
The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business at Minot State University, Minot, North Dakota invites applications for a tenure-track position as a faculty member in the field of Accounting beginning August 2019. The Department of Accounting and Finance currently has six faculty members and its programs have approximately 200 students.

Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include on-campus teaching of Auditing/Assurance Concepts and Practices (required course in program) and Advanced Auditing and Assurance (elective course in program). In addition, responsibilities include classroom and online teaching in both financial and managerial accounting. Lastly, a fraud examination course may be assigned as well, depending on departmental needs and faculty interest and expertise. The successful candidate will typically teach 12 credit hours per semester at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide student advisement, as well as service to the university and community, and activity related to research and scholarship.

Qualifications
Master’s in accounting, or closely related field; would consider non-graduate degree candidate with commitment to obtain Master’s after employed.  Priority will be given to applicants with significant applied professional experience in auditing; professional accounting certification (CPA or Certified Fraud Examiner); and to applicants with experience and commitment to high quality teaching, both face-to-face and online.
