Speaker Bios


Michele Kemp

Michele Kemp, CPA began her public accounting career at BKD, LLP, the 11thlargest CPA firm in the country.  As a Manager, she met her spouse and in accordance with the nepotism policy, left to start her own firm. She began as a sole proprietor and established the The KEMPFirm, LLC. Michele has over 22 years’ experience in public accounting.  She has spent a significant portion of her career specializing in governmental and not-for-profit organizations. She currently provides training to organizations related to audit requirements and procedures, leadership and ethics, federal regulation and compliance, internal controls and  COSO  certifications,  operating  processes and  business practices, and fraud prevention and awareness.    In  addition,  she  works  with  a  number  of  organizations  assisting  with systems  analysis,  internal control and operating reviews, implementation and conversion projects, general business consulting and liaison for management during the audit process.


Boz Bostrom

Boz Bostrom, CPA, MBT, is a professor of accounting and finance at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. Boz’s area of research is ethical leadership, and he speaks nationally on the topics of ethics and leadership. Boz is also the author of three books. Before becoming a professor, he spent nine years in the “big 4” CPA firms.




Zac Paulson

Zac Paulson serves as the Chief Executive Officer of TrueIT.  He co-founded TrueIT in 2012 and completed the acquisition of Summit Group Software in 2018.  Combined, the organizations provide IT Infrastructure and Managed Services, Software Development, and ERP/CRM Software Consulting to over 800 clients across the nation.  Zac has a history of being entrepreneurial and has co-founded 4 organizations varying from mobile audio and electronics, to software, to traditional IT.  He has successfully sold two organizations and continues to lead TrueIT and Summit toward their multi-year goal of being one of the largest full stack IT organizations in the central region of the US.  




Jennifer Louis

Jennifer F. Louis, CPA, has more than 18 years of experience in designing and instructing high-quality training programs. In 2003 she formed Emergent Solutions Group, LLC, serving organizations by providing training services on a project-specific or part-time basis. 
Most recently, Louis was executive vice president / director of training services at AuditWatch, Inc., a premier training and consulting firm serving the audit profession. She began her career at AuditWatch as vice president of product development. Before joining AuditWatch, Louis was the financial / operational audit manager at AARP. Louis also was an audit manager for Deloitte & Touche LLP. During her years at Deloitte & Touche's Washington D.C. office, she was a frequent local and national instructor. She also served as an instructor for the firm's national "Train the Trainers" program.




Josh Teigen

Prior to being appointed commissioner of the North Dakota Department of Commerce in September 2022 by Gov. Doug Burgum, Teigen served as North Dakota Department of Commerce’s director of Economic Development and Finance (ED&F) for two years.

His private sector experience includes nearly eight years in leadership positions with Mind Shift, an innovative business solution to chronic underemployment and unemployment of individuals on the autism spectrum, and serving as president and chief financial officer of Protosthetics, a 3-D printing company. Teigen currently serves on the board of directors for the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp.’s Growth Initiative Fund.
